Position Overview
We're seeking a Hardware Expert to join our team and research the best components for drones and control modules. You'll be responsible for evaluating and selecting optimal hardware solutions including cameras, microcontrollers, sensors, and other critical components that enable our AI drone systems to perform at their best.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and evaluate optimal components for drone systems
- Select and test cameras, microcontrollers, and sensors
- Analyze component specifications and performance characteristics
- Evaluate cost-performance trade-offs for hardware selection
- Stay updated on latest hardware technologies and trends
- Collaborate with software teams on hardware-software integration
- Create component specifications and requirements documents
- Test and validate hardware components in real-world conditions
Requirements & Qualifications
Essential:
- Strong background in electronics and embedded systems
- Experience with microcontroller selection and evaluation
- Knowledge of camera systems and image sensors
- Understanding of drone hardware requirements
- Experience with component datasheet analysis
- Ability to evaluate performance vs. cost trade-offs
- Strong analytical and research skills
Preferred:
- Experience with AI/ML hardware accelerators
- Background in aerospace or robotics hardware
- Knowledge of power management and thermal considerations
- Experience with wireless communication modules
- Understanding of PCB design considerations
- Experience with hardware testing and validation
