PCB Designer / Hardware Specialist

Full-time Part-time Volunteer

Remote (EU/Ukraine preferred)

Position Overview

We're seeking a PCB Designer / Hardware Specialist to design and build the electronics for our autonomous drone systems. You'll be responsible for PCB design, component research and selection, power management, and ensuring hardware reliability in real-world conditions. This role combines board design with hands-on hardware expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Design PCBs for drone control systems and AI accelerators
Research and select optimal components (cameras, MCUs, sensors)
Implement power distribution and management systems
Eliminate interference from high-frequency signals and RF components
Evaluate component specifications, performance, and cost trade-offs
Test and validate hardware in real-world conditions
Create design documentation and manufacturing specifications

Requirements & Qualifications

Essential:

Strong experience in PCB design and layout
Background in electronics and embedded systems
Knowledge of power distribution and management
Understanding of high-frequency signal integrity
Proficiency in PCB design software (KiCad, Altium)
Experience with component selection and evaluation

Preferred:

Experience with drone or robotics hardware
Knowledge of camera systems and image sensors
Experience with AI accelerator board design
Understanding of EMI/EMC compliance
Background in thermal management
